FAQs
Question
What do I need to do to order a storage shed, gazebo, pool house, cabin, play set, carport or pre-built one car garage?
Answer
You will need to answer the following questions for us. We will need to know what size and style building you are interested in, what options you want, the siding, trim and shingle colors, style of the door trim (cross buck or diamond if ordering a wooden building), which way should the door be loaded on the trailer to deliver the building (see delivery and shipping policies). If Barn Bros., Inc. is not doing the site preparation, we need to know when the site will be accessible and leveled for delivery. site needs to be marked on corners with stakes visible for the driver. 50% deposit is required at the time of the order.
Question
Do I need a permit for my buildings?
Answer
It is always best to check with your local township (who you pay your land tax with) to find out what is required. Each township is different. Also, if you reside within a sub-division (POA) you might be required to obtain a separate permit from them. They often times have their own rules and guidelines. We do not provide building permits or zoning permits with the sale of pre-fab buildings. If you would like us to perform this service for you, it will be at a nominal charge.
Question
Suppose I’m not sure if my desired location for a building is accessible by your delivery vehicle?
Answer
On larger structures it is always advisable to ask us to do a site check to make sure that we can access the site. The site check is for locations within 30 miles of our business and should have corner stakes to identify where the building is to be placed. If it is a smaller building, usually the customer can take a tape measure and check the width of the access by the size building being ordered. You will need to remember to observe widths 10’ to 12’ above ground level since the building is being delivered on a trailer which increases the overall height of the building. Also, note that the truck and delivery trailer are approximately 42’ in length when backing in off the road. We will need room to maneuver and turn into location.
Question
Do you remove boulders and trees if they need cleared for accessibility?
Answer
Yes, we are a one stop shop. We do all our own tree service, grading, clearing and site-work for accessibility and also offer a rigging service to get buildings where no others will go! Call us for a field evaluation and estimate within 30 miles of our business.
Question
Suppose I do my own site-work or have someone else do it for me, is that a problem?
Answer
No problem. It is always good if the customer can do some of the work and save some money. The only thing is you will need a $2 line level, 4 stakes and a string line along with the gravel material to level your site. Many times people with all good intentions try and do this job or contract it out to another and when we arrive with the building, we have a pad that is out of level or too small for the building. In these cases we have no choice but to notify the customer and have it redone properly which costs us time and you money. *Please make sure if you or someone else does the work for you, it is done right the first time!
Question
What happens if I place an order and change my mind?
Answer
If you want to cancel an order you have 3 business days to do that. After that, you are liable for forfeiting your deposit since the building is being built to your specifications. If you want to change colors, door placement, style, etc., you will need to let us know right away since your work order has already been processed for production the day you ordered it. We will always do what we can to accommodate you but time is of the essence.
Question
What areas do you service?
Answer
We deliver buildings anywhere that is cost affective with freight charges. Some of the out of state delivery areas that we have been competitive to in the past are: Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, DC, Michigan and Ohio. It is always best to call us with your need and we will do our best to work a freight price that will hold costs to our minimum. Often times, we can arrange shipment with trucking going in the same route.
Question
How do I get a quote on your larger buildings: 2-3 car garages, pole buildings, etc?
Answer
You will need to first call us to discuss your size, siding, door options, etc. and schedule an appointment for a field site check. You will need a current survey or plot plan of your property to determine set-backs. We will then contact you to schedule a time to meet you at the job site. We are a full service contractor so we can estimate and give you a quote on lot clearing, excavation, grading, concrete work, electrical and finished turn key building including building and zoning permits and drawings. If you live outside our 30 mile full service area you will need to contact your local contracting trades for site-work, concrete and secure your own permits. We will send a crew to frame and finish your garage or pole building. We erect buildings in: PA, NY, NJ, DE, WV, and VA competitively.
